This past Tuesday, I had to do a few tasks around the church yard, so I asked Jenny to teach the children at our Yantana church. As I worked outside, I could hear the children singing, repeating Scriptures they had learned and listening to the Bible lesson Jenny was teaching. My heart couldn’t help but be moved by the sounds of their voices echoing into the jungle as they said, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Or as they sang, “More than ever before, Lord, I love you…”
The more I tried to work, the more I couldn’t concentrate on what I was doing!:-) Their motivation, their excitement, their love for hearing about Jesus, just drew me in! So for a moment, I had to literally stop what I was doing and I began to worship the Lord, thanking Him for those children who were in the church praising His name; children who before, had not heard His name and had not known this great gospel!! As I basked in His presence, the Lord said to me, “You did that”. And the tears just fell even more as I remembered the Scripture,”…how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” Romans 10:14
I give Him all the glory, for He is truly the One who has done it all, that they should learn of Him. But I understood what He meant, and it made me so very proud to listen to them and so honored and humbled that His Word that we have preached here for 7 years now, has never been in vain, and has not returned void, but it has truly accomplished that which the Lord pleased. For they that had not heard before now believe in Him!
Amen!!!! Yes, we’re excited, too!!! The Lord is so good!! Thank you for rejoicing with us!!!! God bless you!!
