As I stepped onto the roof this evening to wash my clothes (that’s where I do laundry), my mouth fell wide open in awe as I beheld the stunning view of Volcano Sangay and Volcano El Altar, snow capped and standing so tall and proud, in all their glory. Yes, I’ve lived here for 7 years. But still, their might, their greatness, their power, still amazes me to this day and takes my breath away!
With a clear blue sky in the background and just some scattered clouds that looked like cotton balls, it was such a gorgeous sight to behold. I thanked the Lord for displaying that beautiful artwork for me tonight, and as I washed my laundry, it was as if He kept on painting it right before my eyes, just for ME to behold. Those fluffy cotton ball clouds turned from the most perfect shade of white to a beautiful pink, then almost orange, and then as quickly as He had painted it, He erased the pink/orange, and turned it into a shade of gray, and night fall came. And those cotton ball clouds then became huge clouds covering the whole sky. By the time I finished my laundry and hung them out to dry, it was already a black sky and Sangay and El Altar were hidden from view.
Scientists, Atheists, whoever they may be, can say what they wish, but there is nothing that can explain what I beheld tonight or no way that one can truly ‘figure it out’. Only a great big Almighty, All Powerful God, Master of the Universe, Creator who spoke this world into existence, could do something like that. And you know what? I know the Creator of those volcanoes; I serve the God who made those mountains; His name is Jesus. What a lovely way to finish my day, basking in the beauty and glory of that great big God, who took time to paint that picture tonight, just for ME!
