Yesterday was a beautiful morning, clear sky, sun shining. Perfect day. I woke up praising the Lord, as always, and started getting things together to go work at Yantana church in the beautiful yucca plants we have there. My plan was to work, then pray at the church for a while afterwards, and then do some house visits (Sr Domingo is sick, so I wanted to be sure and visit him and pray for him).
As I was getting ready to leave my house, someone came over. I apologized and said Jenny and I were leaving to go to Yantana and I would have to visit them another day. I told her to wait a few minutes in my home, as I finished loading things in the truck. Then I would take her to her house. We left, but I had to make a quick stop to pick up a letter first that had been sent to us from Ambato and when I did, the visitor decided to get out there. We parted ways, and I picked up my letter. But when I opened my wallet to pay for it, I realized that over $400 was missing! I just had it in there that morning and now it was gone, just like that! That money was for rice for our families and that much money was going to provide rice for over 40 families! My heart broke! (It’s not the first time we’ve been robbed, but it made me sad to think of the families who’d do without this month!) So I came back to the house and told Charles the situation and said, “That money is gone, so pray and rebuke the devil in the name of Jesus.”
Jen and I left, to go ahead to Yantana, and I was praying all the way there. We worked in the yucca, praising God as we did. Then when we finished our labor, I received a text message from Charles on my cell phone. (No I don’t have an Iphone, or any type of smart phone for that matter:-). He told me he had been praying since we left and he said, “The devil stole that money from the Lord. He cannot have what belongs to Jesus. So take it back! That money was for the Lord’s work and the devil cannot have it! Take it back in Jesus name! I’m praying that that money will appear back where it was! We’re gonna take it back in Jesus name!” I shouted and cried as I read his message and said, “Yes, in Jesus name! Jesus is gonna take it back from the thief!” Hallelujah! And I started singing that song, “Going to the enemy’s camp, gonna TAKE BACK what the devil stole from me!” Praise God!
Jenny and I got ready to pray, but gathered our shovel, machete and gloves and put them in the truck first. As I opened the back door to put the gloves on the seat of the truck, there, lying in the floor, was 2 ‘wad’s’ of money! The money that had been stolen from my purse was lying right there in the truck!! Jesus took it back!!! I began to cry and shout and praise God for victory and grabbed that money up in my hand, and ran to tell Jen what had happened!!! Wow! Did we ever have prayer meeting then!!!!! Our God is awesome, Almighty, All powerful, and what belongs to Him, the devil has to get his filthy hands off of! He cannot touch it!!! Jesus took it all back!!! Victory is always the Lord’s!!!!!
To Jesus be all the glory!! He is always victorious! Amen!!! Love you too!!
What a wonderful testimony for Jesus. He always restores. Praise God for Christians like you and your family. You are so right, the devil may steal but God gives it back. What a mighty God we serve. God still performs miracles for us everyday. Love you guys so much!
