I had only slept 4 hours the night before, but I hurriedly walked the 6 blocks from my house to catch the bus, rode it for about 10 minutes, then walked the last 6 blocks to arrive at the church (the bus doesn’t pass by there.) As I waited for the others, I filled up the baptismal tank and spent time in prayer, enjoying the presence of the Lord. The precious family I was meeting arrived 2 hours late (😀 Such is the Ecuadorian way.) But it was all worth it! Because on this day (Saturday), 3 generations of family were being baptized in Jesus name!
Father, daughter and granddaughter!! Oh, the generations of sin that were now being remitted, cleansed, washed away, forgiven. A clean slate, a new beginning; Those sins never again to be remembered or passed down to another generation. Because now, they were taking on the name that is above every name, Jesus, and His blood being applied to their lives!
3 beautiful generations! Oh, yes, it was a powerful day! The Holy Ghost fell mightily as each one entered the water and was baptized! Was I tired afterward?? Yes indeed, but oh, it was so worth it all! What a great joy and privilege it was to baptize them! Glory be to God for all that He is doing in Ecuador! 🔥🔥🙌🙌
