A precious member of my church in Puyo wrote this. It is so beautiful and very true, and it moved my heart so deeply!!
“The tears of a Pastor or Missionary for the suffering of the people are tears that few know. Most Pastors or Missionaries cry a lot, secretly and silently, shedding silent tears while continuing to encourage others tirelessly. They cry like Jesus, for the ingratitude of the people who harm the ministry (Matthew 12: 1-12), they cry for those people who are within their church and who constantly hurt them and the church (Joshua 7). Pastors cry with joy when they see the result of God’s work in people’s lives through his Word (Nehemiah 8: 1-10). Pastors cry over ruthless criticism, church divisions, power struggles, lack of commitment, and disloyalty.
So think about the work of your Missionary or Pastor, it is not easy; better is to bend your knees and pray for them, do not point them out because they cannot visit you continuously in your home since perhaps they are praying for you until they sleep only 2 to 3 hours a night, and you don’t even realize it. Instead, be grateful by honoring them. Love them and take care of them.”
