What a very special day we had recently at Puyo Church! These 2 teenagers, Nayeli and Anthony (who are brother and sister), were both baptized in Jesus Name on the same day! They had each received the gift of the Holy Ghost in the last few weeks.
It was an exceptional day, as I remembered how this began. Almost 2 years ago, I met their mother, Sis. Rocio, for the very first time. She was sitting on a sidewalk in town, with her small children next to her. As I neared her, I smiled at her, and stopped to say hello and talk with her, telling her about Jesus, and inviting her to church. She came to church that following Sunday and started attending regularly. It wasn’t long before she received the beautiful gift of the Holy Ghost and got baptized in Jesus name! Her life was forever changed! Jesus brought so much love and joy to her life.
That mother, Sis. Rocio, has faithfully served the Lord ever since, while bringing her family to church with her and praying fervently for them. So, this beautiful baptism day was the result of a faithful, praying mother that didn’t give up on her children. What an incredible lesson for all of us, whether mom, dad, brother, sister: Never give up on your loved ones. Most of all, continue to be a wonderful example to them by allowing them to see the love of Jesus in your life. I am so proud of this family and I already know the Lord has amazing things in store for them!!
