A family in ‘need’ has a very different meaning in third world countries. I have written about it before, but will share it again. I cannot count the times I have delivered a bag of rice to a family in their home and they literally had nothing else to eat. Here, it’s never a case of ‘well, I have this and that but it’s not something we like’ or ‘not what I’m hungry for today’, etc. When a family says they have no food, it means just that, NO food. There have been so many instances where families have told me what a miracle it is that someone would just show up at their door with a bag of rice when the family had nothing to eat.
The fact that the Lord loves them so much that He would call someone so many years ago, from another continent, more than 3000 miles away, to one day deliver them a bag of rice and tell them about this amazing love of Jesus that can change their lives, yes indeed, it IS a miracle.
So on days like today, when I’m loading up the truck for another day of rice distribution, I get so excited. Because I know it’s not just about giving them food, but I get to tell them about Jesus, pray with them and invite them to church! Thank you so much to my faithful supporters that make this possible. Thank you for being someone’s miracle today!
